We went to see Cloverfield over the weekend. All of the reviews aside, I wanted to see it because I love monster/disaster movies. While not usually Oscar-worthy, movies like Independence Day, Godzilla, and Deep Impact are always a good time. Unfortunately, Cloverfield was actually hard to watch. Not bad, but hard to watch – Gina got motion sick and ended up just listening to the movie with me giving her pertinent details of what is going on.

Sadly, that puts Cloverfield in the very small category of movies that I liked but don’t want to watch again. It’s in good company with movies like The Departed and Unforgiven – but not a movie that we’ll be buying on disc.
