Mark-

Thanks for your comment.

I suspect that you are using Keynote 09- is that correct? With Keynote 09 Apple changed the file format from a bundled folder to a zipped folder.

If that is correct then you will have a couple of extra steps to get the files out.

1- Copy the Keynote theme file onto your Desktop
2- Change the file extension from kth to zip
3- double click the file
	- It should expand into a folder
4- You should now be able to extract the files you want

I usually pick a book size to shoot for the new extra large size of 13x10 inches as well as 300 pixels per inch. That would mean that the 13x10 book would use 3900x3000 for the Keynote slide size.

Hi Brett,

thanks for your informative site. I have been trying to work out the Keynote thing and am stuck/confused/??? or all of the above, have worked out some things though.

1. I am fine getting into the Keynote package - contents/resources/themes. When I control click on a .kth file some (most) of them so far don't have any images, is that normal? I have found some called Fine Art, paper background, Slate (different colours), but so many have no images.

2. How to choose the book size that matches the slide size?

I am normally pretty good at working this stuff out but not this time - you've stumped me. I really like the idea of using these backgrounds as they have so many - why they can not emulate in Aperture surprises me.

Thanks for any assistance you can give me.

Cheers,
